THE DOUBLE BASS

The Irish National Orchestra's double bassist is about to do something big. Maybe. You see, it's the very presence of the double bass that makes an orchestra. Take out the bass and you create pandemonium. Running from April 12th until April 28th at The Cell Theatre in Chelsea, New York City. In presentation with Origin Theatre’s 1st Irish Theatre Festival 2024.

Translated and performed by Sean Gormley

THE ESCAPE

While recovering from brain surgery, a young woman hallucinates a plan to escape from the hospital’s ICU with the help of Irish Republican (and famed jail-breaker) Hugh McAteer. The Escape explores conflicting efforts to bring self-determination to the north of Ireland, begging the question - what are the people of Derry meant to do with all their rage?
